You’d think any resort panned by both Boris Johnson and Michael Winner might have something going for it but you’d be wrong.

With half a pier and half a heart, Bognor looks seedy and unattractive, which is surprising as it sits near one of the most affluent areas in England.

When I went there as a child it was full of people and fun. Now it looks sad and decrepit.
