It seems like every trip to Target involves at least two hours and $100. I go in for paper towels. I leave about an hour and 45 minutes later with laundry detergent, pink tissue paper, a lamp and a whole cart full of stuff.
The place has developed into a mecca of trendy, modern goodies. And some of the latest come from big-name designers including architect Michael Graves and fashion mogul Isaac Mizrahi - whose Target line includes clothing, bedding, dishware, even pet accessories.
Mizrahi is more of a perma-fixture for Target. But the retailer's new "Go International" style campaign introduces a new fashion designer every 90 days. First up: Luella Bartley. Her collection will be there through April and offers some very sweet clothes at bargain prices.
Here, we take a look at a few items from her collection as well as items from a handful of other designees gracing the Target shelves these days.
Need a job interview suit? How about a cocktail dress with a giant tulip on it? Either way, Mizrahi's got you covered. His collection features classic clothes, some with unusual twists. The entire stock changes over about every six weeks. So, if you find something great in your size, consider it a buy.
